Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Jessica Doncses and I want to be your Kettlebell Coach!  Straightforward and to the point, I have a habit of doing that:)  I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and my certifications.

I’ve been a dedicated junkie of all things fitness and health for the last 20 years.  I started out like many women just wanting to use the elliptical machine and maybe the stair stepper.  Then a friend of mine took me under his wing in the weight room to show me the ropes and I never looked back.  I’ve always managed to split my time well between weights and cardio, but really always liked weight lifting better.  Fast forward several years and 1 child later I stumbled upon kettlebell training.  I must admit that at first I was skeptical, how could just a few kettlebells replace what I was using in the weight room let alone my 3 mile run 3 days a week?

Seven years later I can tell you that it absolutely does and there’s no better time to get started.  I have been able to maintain a great level of fitness (also maintained a healthy active pregnancy), including conditioning and functional muscle with a 3 day a week program.  This has been easy for me to fit in before or after work and on the weekends.  This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with this kind of training.  When I started using kettlebells to train I had a job where I spent long hours commuting and the last thing I wanted to think about was going to the gym to exercise for 60 minutes or more a few days a week.

As I developed a passion for using kettlebells I decided to earn my Instructor Certification through Strong First so that I could use my passion to teach others.  My end goal is to get people moving in a way that will allow them to feel better mentally and physically in addition to getting noticeable results fairly quickly.  All this while not compromising their time commitment to all other aspects of their life.  After all, I believe this is one of the most important factors when it comes to sticking with a fitness routine.

In addition to my kettlebell cert I’m also certified as a personal trainer through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner.
